Upcoming 1.2 Update

Been caring for sick folks all day, cursed stomach flu. So, took a moment to read wiki in some down time, and noticed a bunch of snapshot info. For those who didn't know, snapshots are beta releases people can preview prior to the official update.

Now, it looks like update 1.2 is on the horizon for minecraft.  The latest snapshot update was today.

Been reading update notes, and it looks like I might have a new best friend in minecraft (sorry Lemoncookies <3)

The new update will include a new TAMEABLE mob called the Ocelot, which when tamed using raw fish produces a domesticated cat pet. On top of being adorable balls of fluff, these new little babies actually make creepers RUN IN TERROR!

This new mob will be found only in the new biome appropriately labeled a Jungle Biome.

The Jungle biome is"a biome added in Snapshot 12w03a. It consists of tall trees that are two blocks wide along with many small ones. The landscape is quite hilly, with many small lakes of water. Because of these hills, it is possible for a tree to reach the "Building Limit" (See Altitude for more details). This biome will only generate in worlds created using or after the version 12w03a. This is the only biome consisting ferns since their removal in Beta, and the Jungle trees. Leaf "bushes" cover most of the forest floor. There are large amounts of vines that can be climbed (if the vines are directly attached to any block behind it), allowing the player to reach higher areas of the jungle easily.

As of Snapshot 12w04a, Ocelots were added and spawn only in jungles. It has been implied that Slimes will spawn freely on jungle floors. " -Minecraft Wiki
****Unfortunately, Villagecraft was created prior to this update, so our map will not get a jungle biome. However, if our lovely Admins are so inclined, they should be able to include an Ocelot spawn egg and jungle tree sapling in the Admin stores. CRISIS AVERTED!****

With a little fandagle-ing and a pinch of Woohoople-ing we might just be able to get a jungle biome inserted somewhere just for fun.

I find it strange that the biome won't just start appearing if you explore... I don't see why not... w/e.

As for that ocelot egg... maybe we should make them a rare commodity... we could award them somehow... hmmmm.

You'll have to find the raw fish though ;)

PS: The fact that creepers cower at the sight of a kitty is awesome. hahaha.
PPS: Who else had heard of an ocelot before this? Me! Me!

Lol The jungle bio is going to be awesome O.O
Ive seen videos where your able to climb on vines and what not
And as for the epic kitty I MUST HAVE ONE

You can probably find or edit a texture pack so that they don't change appearance ya know.
