I like the idea of this too, but it might make a lot of work for the admins, though this would probably be less work then having a new priest every month. That way if someone really wants to do it for a wedding, they can. I almost prefer this idea.

Who would be Priests?
The Community Minister would have the choice to be priest as they run VC Events
Staff members can also choose to be Priests
1 VillageCraft player will be a priest per month, they will notify the CM that they are interested and a priest will be drawn from the pool on the first of the month.

I think that could be cool but possibly one per month? I'm not sure we would get enough interest to have it be one per day/week
I also like it being available for any player become a priest, makes it feel very inclusive

Parliament Vote #22 - Add the Marriage Master Plugin

Should we add the plugin Marriage Master to the server?

What would this do?
Players would be able to marry one another with the help of a priest
The following marriage introduces Marriage features such as Teleport to partner, XP Boost when near partner, faster health regeneration when near partner, Shared Home with partner, Private Chat with your partner, Ability to kiss your partner, Gift Items to your partner, etc. (please read the plugin information at the link to get the full list of perks and commands

What this would entail:
This would give players an added roleplay experience to the game
Weddings on the server would enable players to get creative with venues as you could build one in your town, Weddings can happen anywhere

Who would be Priests?
Add the "Marriage Master" Plugin to VC with the following guidelines:
- The Community Minister has the choice to be priest.
- Staff members have the choice to be priests.
- 1 VillageCraft player will be chosen as a priest each month and their priesthood lasts 1 month. Players will notify the CM that they are interested, and a priest will be randomly drawn from the pool on the first of the month.
- If someone really wants a certain player to marry them then they can request priesthood from the CM or Staff to be a priest, which will last 1 month.

This is a vote initiated by Community Minister Naomi, and was nominated by players:
Allison (AlliCat_22), Brutalfive, 123NiceGirl4, Linyxx. Tenretni

Staff Approval: Akomine, CyphurTheFox, KingNurtul

If "yes" is majority, Marriage Master will be implemented on the server
If "no" is majority, the plugin will not be added

All Members of Parliament may vote.
For the act to pass, a majority of voting MPs must vote in favor.

If you are indifferent, please abstain.

2 warnings? In my experience on this server I've been kicked plenty of times as a joke and didn't think anything of it, I was in call with Brutal when it happened and there was no wording of why he was being kicked.

You call being kicked with no explanation a warning? In my experience the kicks without warnings have always been jokes and a kick saying "stop spamming" is a warning.

You also say Brutal was "being a cock" how? By spamming a friend? I get it was annoying but you all should know by now that you should have told him to knock it off verbally instead of just kicking. From my perspective from that night you all were being the dicks by being outwardly rude "for spamming" even if someone is spamming they don't deserve that. Taunting him about staff when you know Brutal works hard because he wants to be staff. You all can say "it's fair" but in my opinion it stopped being fair when he wasn't verbally warned.

You want to say Brutal is taking having a record too seriously, but you were taking someone spamming too seriously.

I was on when that happened and I remember saying to you all that it was uncalled for because Brutal didn't get a warning. After the fact the way Brutal was talked to by Octo and Shen were rude.

Brutal asked why he was banned and Octo replied
""cus ur bein a cock bro"

And shen said "[SM][OVO] ~24kGoldn » Hope you didn't wanna be staff anytime soon"

both things examples of things said being completely out of line. Like is words in private messages really spam? And instead of being banned he should have been told to stop. This was all going on when the farm issue was a hot topic and I think some tempers were being running hot. I think Brutal wanting it wiped from his record is completely fair because that Ban was BS

MP Motion to Start a Vote: DISCUSSION of Marriage Master Plugin

Marriage Master Plugin
This motion has gained the necessary support to be brought to vote. The motion would call for the following:

Adding the plugin Marriage Master

Please read through the plugin features to ensure there are no foreseeable issues with implementing it.

This plugin is already updated to 1.16 and would include marriage features and requires a “Priest” to marry and divorce players. Priests approving marriages and divorces ensures that someone does not lose their marriage home without permission from the other spouse.

We are a week away from our next event! The random inventory survival Build Comp!This event was inspired by Yvette's random inventory island and I am so excited to bring it to the community in the form of a competition. This will take place in the CM world and you will have 3 days to build your most beautiful creation in the middle of your plot of water with everything in your inventory. This will be done in survival and you will be awarded for creativity! This one will only be judged by popular vote and the winner will receive $150K and a special trophy! The official timing is July 20th starting at 12 am EST and it will end at 12 am EST on the 23rd of July

I usually try to stay out of things, but since I was on the server when war was declared I figured I should add my account. So I was on the server when Paste declared war on Squat and he asked me if I wanted to take part since I was someone Squat had pestered multiple times. I declined since I stay out of it, but Cyphur was working hard to make sure everything was lining up with the rules. Different ideas were brainstormed but Cyphur and Paste agreed to do minimal so that it wasn't breaking the rules. I know that Squat is someone that ruffles some feathers on this server so I'm not surprised people wanted to retaliate against him. I am sure Paste understands that he shouldn't have taken it so far, but Squat was pestering them, Yvette, myself and probably others for weeks. Perhaps I am mistaken, but letting out some horses and taking horse armor doesn't seem like a lot for the badgering that Squat was giving.

I also have screenshots of the occasions that Squat was hitting on me, Yvette offered to help me get him to leave me alone, and seeing as it didn't persist I didn't push the issue. I just feel like people are jumping on Paste when he had to put up with Squat a lot. I know it was eye rolling to have someone come in through discord just to hit on me and I imagine that was tame compared to how much he was messaging Yvette similar things.

I wish to be helpful to this report in any way, so please ask any questions if any clarification is needed. <3

So after a very Lengthy judging (Looking at you Cyphur and Legend) We have the results!
As previously stated Theodorf won the popular vote and we had a tie for the judged vote.Theodorf was one of the tied and considering the circumstances the prizes will go to who he tied for Relevart!

Hello VillageCrafters! Waaaaay back in the day I played on a different server with Allison (It died, RIP) But it had a marriage plugin which was a lot of fun! I know VC used to have one and perhaps it was removed for good reason so I want to hear peoples opinions

I think it would add an interesting roleplay aspect that some of our younger players enjoy and honestly it's just hilarious to watch people switch spouses every other week 
On the old server only "priests" aka staff members could marry people so that always made it an event that people could attend. This could also inspire people to build venues in their towns which could be a lot of fun.

Here are a few options I found and I am not sure which would work best with our server.

This one has a lot of cool marriage commands that could be used. The issue is that as of right now it's still 1.15

This one has more options for commands and also adds the priests as mentioned above which could allow slight oversight to people getting married. This one is also 1.16!

This one has less commands so it might be less confusing but it is also 1.15

I would love to see the chaos insuring from random marriages and they add a fun extra thing to the server! I look forward to seeing everyone's input

This one would be awesome! Though it should have a cost to use.

I love farming so more crops is always fun, but I also see over inflation if people can just grow gold.

DungeonsXL
I think this one would be fun! I like the idea of only staff members being able to place them so that people don't use structure generation as a means to grief.

RPGMobs
I think this one could get annoying, I just think about how much phantoms are pests and having extra, harder mobs to fight would make things difficult.
Custom Magic Wands
I don't really care about this one, I think it takes away from the server too much, but if people are here for it then cool.

I like many others feel this loss with the community. From the first time I started playing villagecraft and Theo made Allison and I laugh and feel welcome. From the skype calls and teasing that always took place it was a good time. In the past few months I was lucky enough to get to know Theo better again, and it's this time that I will remember fondly when I think of him. If I ever wanted an honest opinion I knew I could trust Theo to give it and I will miss us hanging out in calls and on minecraft, just talking about anything and everything. I will miss my friend, but I will also make sure to remember him. Because a light as bright as Theodorf will shine bright and loud, as it should.

Theo my friend I will miss our chats and time together, but it will not be forgotten. I'll ride a bike for you like we always talked about. I hope you found peace you deserve
