We should have a public /warp arena
That way when you see two people talking about battling in the arena, you can easily /warp there and watch, and even participate. Especially since some of our newer players don't know where the arena even is.
Otherwise the closest /warp is info.
Thoughts?

If we do that I would like a warp to my bed, fridge, front door...
lol... basically... if ppl wanna fight tell them to go to the arena... /warp market and go watch or join the fight... not far of a walk... GET SOME VIRTUAL EXERCISE!
Also once someone is there you can TP to them.

it's either /warp stadium or /warp arena, I can't remember, but I think we've always had it. Please check and make sure.

I'm pretty sure /warp arena (whether it is public access or not) takes you to the direct center of the arena.
We should probably review the placement of this - I got a nasty surprise the first time I used it, and if it IS public access people could use it to enter fights by surprise.

I think we shouldn't have a public warp for this exact reason. Some douche sees there is a fight occurring via the global chat. He rushes to get his pvp gear and /warp arena. He hurriedly hops in, kills everyone, and warps away.
The system we have now gives the pvpers time to duke it out without interference. The "douche" in the above scenario can be prevented because it takes a short while to walk from spawn/library/market. Nobody can just "pop" in and "pop" out.
Of course this doesn't prevent people from tping, but the "douche" would have to find a willing body to tp.
I personally see this as a terrible idea.

I really think /warp arena takes you to the center of the arena. I think it's mod only.
There's some other warp that takes you to somewhere around the arena though.. I'll check on it when I get home.
...Or I could be getting old and /warp arena is the public one and Star just doesn't have it because she's Star. That is a very real possibility. :P

i tried both warps and they say "you do not have access to that warp" i am gold VIP so i would assume i would have access unless it is mod/admin only and there is no way any normal player has access to it *cough* ^^^^^ *cough*

and while were on the subject of warps, would it be possible to have a signboard at Qualia arena with warps to some of the nicer arenas?
I know Skycastle has a beautiful arena, and i hear Forge has a large nice one as well. would be nice to have easy access to all the arenas on the server directly from Qualia Arena, and not just Atlantis.

I should turn my "the pit" into an arena... Not that any of you none admins have probably seen it lol... 2 men enter 1 MAN LEAVE!. I think it would be kind of interesting.

That sounds like a great idea. I'll ask Ako about it but I don't see why not.

Forge is not done nearly yet. It hasnt been worked on in a while. I would like to continue on that though

They added /warp arena for everyone to use a few days ago, gais.

I'm now confirming that if you do /warp arena you will spawn at the entrance of the Qualia arena. There is also another arena the Atlantis arena. Is there a warp for that or are we just gonna use the warp sign?
