we need a way to buy nether quarts from the market. its too hard to get in the nether because the nether has already been generated so far that we would have to walk like a million blocks to generate a new chunk with the quarts in it. also i feel that if we can buy all the other ores and gems (besides emeralds i think) at the market then why not let us buy nether quarts? because it looks good as a building block and its makes a nice little redstone machine that is useful. Sax and I asked rune about it and he said something along the lines of no never. if i misunderstood rune and it will be added later then i am sorry and disregard this whole post.

its a new ore that was added to the nether. it makes a lot of different blocks and stuff. but it also makes the sunlight sensor! I want it to make that and also some marble pillars.

I say wait a couple of weeks first, I mean, Emeralds haven't been added yet.
So I say Emereralds now, Nether Quartz in a few weeks :)

And if you want it so bad, go mine it yourself? The store just makes people lazy. The only thing I buy from the store is wool for my pixel arts because I only have red and purple sheep.

Nether Quartz may or may not be added to the market. Personally I'd like to see it 'rare' to enhance its mystique. If an Admin feels the urge to herbal and adds it, then you can go nuts. :) Otherwise, just go find it yourself. Ako has shown that it is very much possible to find it in our current Nether.

you guys don't have to be mean. and i said "along the line of" because you said no and you said you wouldn't. i could not remember the exact quote, ok? and i would find it in the nether but the nether scares me. all i want is a sunlight sensor! and maybe some pillars if i make some fancy stuff. calm down and stop being big bad wolfs. and why should it stay rare? its a new block and makes new things that are useful!

Easy for my town (Dewford). We have a clubhouse in the nether near a giant fortress, then a colony by there. There's a little sign that says "BANISHED" and it's not generated after that. My friend that visited Dewford and went to the nether said that it's full of nether quartz past the sign!!

Ask brick when he's on. Remember I won't be on from dance for a few months or so. If u wanna get there, I believe the farthest generated land I saw is about at -4000, 300. But our town is at about these coordinates: -3000, -200 I believe (PS NETHER TOWN). Brick is building a nether quartz complex he said before I left. So, just ask brick to take u. (also the region is full of magma cubes, wither skeletons, and blazes, so be prepared to fight)

Emeralds are in the game, I have mined some myself. You can only find them in extreme hills zones that were generated after the 1.4 update. Zones older than that will not have emeralds. Also emeralds are much rarer than other minerals, I think it was the same rarity as diamonds, spread out over the area gold can spawn, and they are often in 1x1 veins.

I could be persuaded to add emeralds to the market at this point, but I agree with Rune on keeping quartz rare for quite some time.
Quartz are pretty common and easily visible in new chunks, just gotta search well :)
