Photorealism isn't gonna happen next gen but these engines are sure grasping at it. Photorealism may even be coming the gen after next. Only thing that's really missing is mobile elements (birds, isects, etc) that are part of the evironment. Also they don't mention what sort of computer was running either of the demos, which is annoying.

lol no it wouldn't have been quantum computers, last time I looked them up (couple months ago) they were managing to do experiments with um 3 qbit quantum computer.
They probably used 6 or 8 core processor with a monstrous amount of RAM and dual vid cards.
But man imagine Elder Scrolls VI looking like that. Get a hard on just thinking about it.

I remember when Half-Life 2 came out we were just going mental about how real it looked. But now when I go play it I laugh at how far we have come since.
