If people like the idea, we might make it a Tekkit server for 15 days and FTB for 15 days to see which one everyone likes the most.

Do we get to vote for a custom mod pack? That'd be cool. Get a wider variety of mods on there. I'd be happy to slap something together if ya like ;)
Either way, I like this idea. I'd prefer FTB over tekkit though, mainly because of the choise but also because FTB is officially endorsed by all the mod authors, whereas tekkit isn't. To me, it seems more stable, and is kept more up-to-date.
Also, you been speaking to Brandon?

Hahaha yes I have. Honestly, I have no idea how Tekkit/FTB mod packs work. If you could explain it to me, that'd be great :D

It's essentially just a large collection of mods out together, in a way which makes it easy for people to play with minimal effort. People use ones such as FTB or Tekkit as they're already set up, but many servers have their own little, private ones.
Also, try playing with Brandon for a bit later. After about an hour you'll like it ;)

I haven't played Tekkit or Feed the Beast, but I agree with luis. A custom mod pack would be cool.

Oh cool, I reckon there will be quite a lot of people wanting to play it. I probably assume for PVP but i'm just playing for machines :)

Depends how much damage you plan to do with them ;)
Also there isn't all that many OP weapons in the Direwolf20 pack, but well look out for it :D
