Update, with final details:
So, we got 11, possibly 12 applicants from around the world, and to suit the most people's needs we had to pick the most convenient time for everyone. As it stands, the time we will be running the event is 6PM GMT, Sunday April 20th. If you could tell someone if you are able to make this time, that'd be great so we can check you off our list!
Also, we have Airbo as the judge to ensure there is no cheating, so we all play fairly! He will be invisible, so he won't give away anyone's position :D
If you wish to enter now that there is a confirmed time, please tell one of us so we can add you to the whitelist for this game! The more the merrier!
I have also set up a TeamSpeak channel on our server (http://www.villagecraft-server.com/forum/index.php?topic=2066.0), where you can talk during the game, as well as a separate channel for those of you who want a chat after you die.
There will be a few people who are recording the event and putting it on YouTube. They can link their channels if they want after they post the video. Although no livestreams have been confirmed, people may still do them and will be linked if they do.
The server will go live at 5:50GMT on Sunday, and anyone who is taking part will be whitelisted. You'll all be confined in a little room until we're all scattered, so there will be no head starts! The IP to use is vcv.villagecraft-server.com. The current server has been backed up and turned off until the event, with all the plugins and old map backed up multiple times, and the normal server usage will continue once the event is over. Depending on how long the game lasts, and how tired I am, it may either be as soon after the game ends, or the following morning.
Finally, I may post a map download if anyone wants it. I'll probably post some sort of screenshot of the mp after the game is over, so people can see where they are.

For those of you who liked the countdown, this is a clock until the server goes live. The event starts 10 mins after that.
After a bit of talking with Air, we've decided to run a UHC event here on VillageCraft to see how it goes.
UHC is a game mode where you do not regenerate health unless you use a golden apple or potions, and is most commonly played as a PVP game in a confined map to find the last man alive, and crown them as the winner. For this, UHC Season 1, we will be doing a free-for-all where there will be no teams, although if the event is successful in the future we may attempt teams of 2, 3 or 4.
Due to the requirements of this, it will be run on VCV in a temporary world, allowing there to be no pre-game interference from any players. The server will be whitelisted during this time to avoid interruptions, and the map will be reverted back to pre-UHC when the game is over. This will be for a maximum of 6 hours, depending on how long the game lasts.
As always, we love media input, although it is not necessary by any means. You could if you like use the new in-game streaming option to stream the entire event to twitch, or record the entire event and upload it to YouTube, either as one long video or separate videos. If you choose to pick one of these options, it will allow for interesting playbacks of battles, as well as your entire game for the rest of us to watch!
Because the server will be whitelisted, there is a sign-up form. Please note that this does not mean your are definitely 100% committed to the event, it is simply there to give us an idea of how many people are interested, as well as being able to find a time which will suit the most people. Questions, can we have a private teamspeak channel? Because that would make it even better for whom be is recording.
Also, what if someone can't be on for like 3 - 4 hours or however long. And if someone needs to pee or whatever?
And if so, I'm bad at pvp but it'd be happy to record it. W/ commentary.
Finally, can we have a main recording to upload to the villagecraft youtubes channel?

This is a minigame already made, but I cannot remember it's name. And I thought it would be fun to play sometime.

It'll be a regular world (with a border) and you gear up as normal, then PVP whenever you like. Chests would be villages, temples, juggles ect. Building would be on.

Time? Depends who else enters and when the best time will be for everyone.
Spectate? Maybe fly+inv, as long as they can't be seen. Maybe in future events we'll use new spectator gamemode, unless we play in snapshots. Doubt it though.

I believe he is right, it will be between 11am for you, and 2 to 3 pm. In most cases though, 1pm.

I worked this all out when I was figuring out the times.
GMT = 6pm
GMT+1 = 7PM (UK Summer Time)
GMT-5 = 1PM (Mexico time)
GMT-10 = 7AM
GMT+10 = 4AM Monday (Blue's Time)
No idea where 5PM came from :P

It's 7 PM UK time because daylight saving brought us one hour ahead of GMT. I said 6 GMT because it's easier for people to work out into their own time zones then.
Note to self, don't use GMT in future when organising events.
