Title: Voting Rewards

You wanted more voting rewards, so here you go. There's now more voting rewards. Please ignore the fact that it took me many months to actually do this. I was busy. Sorry  :'(

Now, voting prizes are split into two categories. There's rewards, and there's milestones. Every time you vote, you'll be given a reward at random. They each have a chance, which I'll explain in a minute. You'll be randomly given a reward. However, if you've voted a nice round number of times (10, 25, 50, 100), then you'll instead get a milestone prize. This is usually a bit of a better prize, and it's there to give a little "thank-you" for voting so much. Some milestones (like 10), will kick in every 10 votes you give, whereas others (like 25) will only kick in once.

The way chances work, is each reward is given a chance. Whenever you vote, the server will go through the list of rewards in a random order, and roll a die. If that's within the chance of that item, it'll give you that. If it's not, it'll move on to the next item, and try another roll. This means that some items will show up in your reward more than others, as they have a higher chance. It does also mean however, if you're super unlucky, it might be possible no reward gets picked. It's doubtful this'll happen though, as some of the items have a pretty high chance.

This is still a trial. If there's things you'd like to see in rewards, let us know, and we'll see about adding them. If you find some items show up too much, and want other stuff for a change, let us know, and we'll lower their chance. If there's something you never see anyone get, tell us, and we'll up its chance. If you're voting so much that 100 votes is too small of a milestone, give us suggestions for other milestones we could add. We've also go the option for adding in streak rewards, where if you vote every day for x days in a row, you'll get a special reward. If you want this to be added, give us more suggestions. These are your rewards after all, have you say on what you want!

Lusic, The items on the list do seem fair... Although there needs to be a great item for the players to strive and hope for on that list... I believe that there should be a 2-3% chance of getting a decent tool. The decent tool would consist of any tool being diamond efficiency IV expect with diamond pickaxe being efficiency IV and fortune III.

I like that idea!
Or maybe each vote could earn a token as well and there be an in game store to purchase such tools and other special items (eggs etc)?

It might be something i'm not doing, though I doubt it. But one of the votes seems not working properly (as in not giving reward.

there is always the possibility that I rolled to not have a reward but the past 2 days i have only received 3. It is not a case of name being entered wrong as I cut and paste for all 4 (cause i'm lazy haha)

Interesting. Do you remember roughly when you've voted over the past 2 days. Rough times? I'll look at the logs and see what's happening

Yesterday would have been around 2-3pm GMT and maybe the same time the day before i think.

I've just voted today and it's the minecraft severs site that is not giving rewards (1st link)

Would you mind having a look at the percentage rates please? I think the diamond rewards is set to 5% I have got 2 over the past month and as you can see I vote almost daily. I have god knows how many ender pearls and Skulker shells and emeralds so it might be worth lowering them so more diamonds are won as they are the most useful for mining?

I checked the config, diamonds were definitely set at 50%.I've changed it though so emeralds, ender pearls and shulker shells are all 10% instead of 20%. Let me know how that goes.

If you (or anyone) feels any more chances need changing, do let me know :)

Yeah to be fair, 5% might have been a bit of an exaggeration  :P
Maybe it's lower on the check list than the others so even though it's 50% an Emerald might be 'rolled' before it gets round to checking for a Diamond.
I'll let you know how things go the next couple of days, and thanks for a speedy responce

Edit: Well today i got 2 Coal, Green Glow and Money (Come to think of it i've only got a gold ingot once, and that's meant to be 50% too?)

I know it sounds like I'm moaning and no one else seems to mind but just to give you an update on the rewards. I had 18 outstanding rewards and these are the results and while being not a bad catch  :), the % just don't seem to work out specially with the emeralds and skulker shells (as they are at 10% but are most common in the list)

3 Gold
4 E Pearls
2 Diamond
3 emerald
2 Blaze Rod
4 Skulker
(plus an exp and cash prize)

Maybe it's just my luck of the draw but I just seem to be swimming in the rare items and hardly getting a touch on the common ones

Last time I think i'll mention this but this is the latest (and you don't owe me a drink  :P) As you can see Diamond is not licing up to 50% chance by any means.
