Title: Village Claim
Post by: Saxturian on 4 September 2019, 02:00:37 AM
Hello all!

My name is saxturian and I spent a lot of time in the server in the past. I recently returned after getting a laptop after my computer was broken for quite some time. I returned to find Anville had been claimed (fair and square, I might add) by a player named RagsDeeBoo. I had talked to several staff about reclaiming Anville, only to find he was on a list where his possessions shan't be touched. However, I got multiple opinions saying that I will not be getting it back, and some saying that he has been inactive for some time with no clear sign of return, and I should be able to get it back. I was then told to make a forum post to get a more definitive answer. So here I am! If I can get Anville back, that's great! If not, I understand completely. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Hi Sax, it's my opinion that if a player clearly states they'll be gone for more than 2 months, and asks us to protect their stuff beyond the usual limit, that they should also give a timeline of when they intend to return. If their absence seems indefinite, it seems ridiculous to just endlessly protect the stuff. So, if nobody knows when Rags will be back, I'd say you can claim the town as per usual.

Is there a forum post or anything about Rags's absence length?

Did he mean Mid May as in 4 months ago or as in May of 2020?

"This could be a 2 week break, or a 2 month break, or maybe even longer. I'll probably be back by mid May at the latest."
I'd interpret that as 2019, others may disagree

Yeah May 2019 is the latest he would've meant. I've transferred the village.
