Title: Fun things to do!
Post by: Naomi on 14 March 2022, 09:24:38 PM
I love traveling and I also love visiting and doing cool things! I want to fill out my map more with things across the world to do so when I plan trips I can do more things. What are some of the coolest places you've been or fun things you've done?

Costa Rica! Go treetop ziplining, walk the hanging bridges in the Monteverde cloud forest preserve, play in the warm waves of some ridiculously nice beaches, and go on a night hike to spot some truly cool and unique wildlife.

A few years back I was in Fethiye in Turkey and I went paragliding, would highly recommend that. They take you up a bit of a mountain (although not super high), and you glide down over the beautiful sea and land on the beach. Normally I'm terrible with heights, but that is something I'd love to go back and do again.

Looking back on it, maybe don't take the approach I did of blindly trusting some random guys on the beach saying they do paragliding and I can pay in any currency and they'll pick me up from my hotel in their van. Everything they said was true and I had a great time, but in hindsight there's probs less risky ways of doing it. Be careful, but at the same time, have fun

Russian tank busting in Ukraine. It's kinda like an African safari but the stakes are higher.

This year I visited Mexico and got to see everyone's favourite Airbongo. While there, I visited quite a few Mayan archaeological sites, climbed ancient step pyramids, learned a lot about the history of the region, and ate cheese.

In the spirit of this thread, I highly recommend visiting Yucatan, Mexico and seeing the ancient sites. I wrote an article to help guide you :)
